How can I join the church?
Frequently, we are asked “how can I become a member of the Branson United Methodist Church”. We are always excited at the prospect of folks just like you becoming members of our church family. You can join Branson United Methodist Church in any one of the following ways:
• Baptism, Profession of Faith, and Confirmation– This is for persons who have never been baptized or previously joined a Church.
• Profession of Faith and Confirmation– This is for persons who have been baptized, but were never confirmed as a member of a Church.
• Reaffirmation and Renewal– This is for persons who once joined a Church, but became inactive before coming to Branson UMC; or who aren’t sure the record of their baptism and membership still exists; or who withdrew their membership from a church; or who were notified that their membership was removed from a Church role.
• By Transfer from Another Denomination– This is for persons who have membership in good standing in a non-United Methodist Church. We United Methodists do not re-baptize a person coming from another denomination. Our Pastor writes a letter to the Pastor where the person belongs requesting a letter of transfer.
• By Transfer from Another United Methodist Church– This is for persons who belong to another United Methodist Church. Our Pastor writes a letter to the Pastor where the person belongs requesting a letter of transfer.
If, after attending Branson United Methodist Church, you desire to join, or have a question concerning United Methodist Membership or Beliefs, please e-mail the Pastor at:
