The original windows in the Youth Room, Choir Room, Library, upstairs classrooms

that will enhance maintenance, cleaning and help with utility costs. Come check
out the new improvements to the church. Thank you, Trustees! It looks good.
While you’re at it, note the colorful flowers around the church. It looks good.

CHOIRS R US
- Want a good view of the congregation on Sundays?
- Want to be where the preacher looks less often?
- Want a reserved seat in worship?
- Want to have fun singing?
- Want to be among others who enjoy lifting their voices to God in praise?
- Want to spend a little time on Wednesday evenings getting together with others who
have a good time making music together?
Then the Choir Loft is the place for you. Wednesday rehearsals beginning soon. No
auditioning (except for the monotone section). All you need is a willing spirit
to ”make a joyful noise unto the Lord” (Psalm 66:1). See you in the choir loft helping
give praise to God!
BEHIND THE SCENES AND SCREENS:
Just wanted you to know the team that volunteers to do all the “behind the screens”
work for our Sunday
celebrations. They come in Wednesday afternoons and evenings to enter our worship
notes on the computers and get it ready for the visuals on our screens. Thank you
Deb Gray, Dan Propst, Chance Mills, and apprentice, Ryan Brown. Jacob Bryant, Colvin
Hooser, Brianne McGill, Matt Mann and Shannon Thomason put together our New 10:30
service. Thank you!
CHAPEL PAINTED:
A Hispanic Congregation meets in the Holt Chapel Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The congregation stepped up and painted the interior of the chapel. Muchas Gracias!

THANK YOU COLLEGE BOUND:
Elizabeth and Rachel Fulton and Mike Smith assisted us last Sunday in the 10:50
service. Thank you for helping us before heading off to college.
NAME TAGS
Explore Isaiah 45:3, 4, and John 10:3. Then think “name tags”. The Good Lord may
know us by name, but we may not. Let’s grab our name tags each time we come to church.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
We welcome you to join this ministry. An opportunity to learn how to crochet or
knit, along with supplies, is available. We need more people to continue this ministry.
Just join us in the Susanna Wesley Room any Tuesday afternoon (12-4 p.m.) or contact
Carol Norris (334-0901) or Alice Marie Lowe (339-4253).

CAM NEEDS OUR HELP!
As you can imagine, with gas prices hovering around the $3.33 mark ($3.69+ in Branson?),
and food prices soaring, and people losing their jobs due to cutbacks, CAM is seeing
an increased demand for help on every front. Groceries are needed for the food pantry,
and monetary donations are always needed to help with other things, such as gasoline
to get people to and from jobs, necessary medications, rental assistance, utility
bills, etc. Please help if you are able.
Christian Sympathies
The church family extends its sympathy to Jean Daniell, upon the passing of her
sister, Dorothy Donahue, on July 28. Dorothy was a resident of Kamrar, Iowa.
Sympathy is also extended to Violet Williams, upon the passing of her niece on August
5th, in North Dakota.
Former resident, Phyllis Grobe passed away in Eldora, Iowa. Our prayers and sympathies
are extended to her family and community.

Kandice, Matt, “Rabbi Ross” and all the adults and youth who had a part in Vacation
Bible School are to be congratulated on making “Jerusalem Marketplace” something
the children will never forget.
The smiles on the faces of the children as they learned, sang songs, tried new crafts
and made new friends showed how important VBS is to the children in our community.
Thank You for Your Service!
Laura Vestal

"Just a Group of People @ BUMC"
Sunday Nights 9 p.m. - 1 a.m.
On Sunday nights 18+ year olds (some churches call this group College & Career)
will gather in the Welcome center to study Ecclesiastes and will walk through it
until we get finished. Afterwards, we will invite friends to hang out with us in
the lounge, the gym, go to Starbucks, check out a late-late night movie, road trips
to Ozark/Springfield, etc. This is open to all young "night owls" in the
area who are looking to learn about Christianity &
be a part of "Just a Group of People" just like them.
Please be in prayer for this - I am seeking out prayer partners NOW for this "Group
of People". Are you one?
Contact Matt, Melissa, Jacob or Kandice about thsi program. We have a group on Facebook...look
us up.
Here is some help we are prayerfully looking
for. If you LOVE GOD and LIKE TEENS,
you can fill these roles! NO PROBLEM
- Someone(s) to help prepare a light snack supper for a
possible weekly YOUth Sunday night. Serve around 5:15 p.m., 15 to 20 people,
adult and teen
- People who want to be prayer warriors for the YOUth.
- Someone(s) concerned about the families of YOUth, young
adults and kids who aren't a part of a church
Fall 2008 YOUth
When we begin
To let God REMEDY
Our hurts
Our hang ups
The things holding us down
We will begin to hear more clearly
That the Lord our God
is ONE
==============
That we are to love
the Lord Our God
With all our hearts
With all our souls
With all our minds
And with all our strength
==============
We will also begin
To love our neighbors
For we will be free
To again love ourselves
And bring the REMEDY
To our World
