Greetings BUMC!
We have been enjoying a tremendous beginning of Fall at Youth Group and we are quite excited to be on the cusp of the holiday season. The month of October was a great time of learning and growing for us as we wrapped up our study on Encouragement, Love, Joy, and Hope.
We participated in several new events and planned some momentous activities in October. Two weeks ago, we had a pumpkin decorating party and fashion show, in which the kids artistically adorned their pumpkins and then put them on display for everybody else to see and enjoy. The very next week, we decided to go Reverse Trick-or-Treating as a Youth Group, dressing up in costumes and delivering candy door to door. I planned this activity to teach the kids the importance of generosity over entitlement. Living in such an “I” and “me’ centered culture, I want the kids to learn to consider others before themselves. Thank you to all of you who made our visit to your front door a pleasant one.
Please continue to pray for our kiddos as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, Grace and Peace to you all.
